Refund policy

We hope you fall in love with everything you buy from us but we know sometimes things just don't work quite as well as what they should.

If you've bought something and it is faulty simply fill out our warranty form (https://forms.gle/v6XGyoNRFyZYcHPH8), if this is not working you can send us an email explaining what's happened to [email protected] and we'll do what we can to help.

Warranty

All Moderntrendshop DCF manufactured gear includes a 2 year limited warranty against product failure caused by manufacturing, material, and design defects. Products will be repaired when possible or replaced based on the specific needs of each case.

Scuffs, punctures, or tears caused by wear, misuse or accidents are not covered, however, they can usually be easily fixed with seam tape by the user. Our products are constructed from ultralight materials, and some wear and tear is to be expected.

Products not manufactured by Moderntrendshop, but sold on our store are subject to their manufacturers warranty and manufacturer's delays. We do not have control over how quickly other vendors warranties' are handled.

Repairs

If you experience any trouble with your gear, please let us know and our staff will work with you to find a reasonable solution.

When sending in gear for repair, please make sure it is free from pet hair, grass, and debris, dirt, etc or they may be rejected and returned back to you.

Returns

Our policy is within 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food, cannot be returned. If we suspect that the goods have been used at all with any residue or odor, your return will be denied.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

you can return an item and once it assessed and approved we can process a refund / exchange. You can return the item either by mailing it back to us or dropping it off at our store in person.

If you choose to mail the return, please note that return shipping costs are not covered by us unless there is a fault with the product. 

Packages must require signature on delivery, and insurance. If your package is lost in transit when being returned to us, it is your responsibility.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted (if applicable)
- Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
- Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

Refunds (if applicable)
Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days.

Late or missing refunds (if applicable)
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Exchanges (if applicable)

If you've found that something is the wrong size or you'd like to exchange for a similar product, send us an email and we'll try to work something out. If there is a current discrepancy in price between the new and old products, we will send you an invoice to pay for the higher amount. We do not honour legacy prices. (e.g. My regular wide sleeping pad was $160 when I purchased, and the long wide was $165 The long wide is now $180, I am not eligible to get the long wide for $165 any more.)

Shipping

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

Ultralight Hiker will pay to have a repaired or replaced item shipped back to you.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $37.5, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
